The US EPA has implemented a risk management program for prevention of accidental chemical releases. Certain releases can occur in the gas phase, such as gas cylinders used for a wide variety of processes. Accidental rapid leakage of certain gases can cause an immediate danger to life and health (IDLH).
As a result, Gas Cylinder storage areas are increasingly being outfitted with emergency gas scrubbing or adsorption systems to contain releases and reduce catastrophic or life threatening releases. These systems protect human health and are often specified at facilities that contain Chlorine, Ammonia, Sulfur Dioxide, Hydrogen Sulfide, or other potentially dangerous vaporous chemicals.
The Aerospace Manufacturing Industry utilizes many processes that are critical to the safe and successful operation of many components used in aircrafts.
KCH Emergency Gas Release Systems can be designed as wet Chemical Scrubbers or dry media Carbon Adsorbers, depending on various factors such as the type and volume of gas to be adsorbed or neutralized.

Due to the corrosive nature of the gas release, KCH vessels are manufactured from 100% Corrosion resistant materials such as FRP or PVC. For outdoor applications, KCH also recommends Polystrong® or Polylast® materials of construction when UV protection and structural rigidity are needed.
