Steel Pickling

Steel pickling is a descaling surface treatment for metal used to remove impurities, rust and scale from ferrous metals. It is typically used to clean steel as a pretreatment prior to galvanizing, hot rolling, etching and a variety of other steel working processes. The main chemistry used is HCL acid at ambient temperatures, sulfuric acid is also very common, and cheaper by volume however it does not work as quickly.

A Wet Scrubber Exhaust System is typically used with this process such as a Hedron, Phaser or Omni.
